The Overhead Care Club, Part 3

Here at Bakeris Roofing, our customers are highly valued and as such, we wanted to give something back. As a result, two years ago we put together our first Customer Appreciation Party. It’s our way of saying thank you for placing your trust in us for your roofing needs. We have a lot of fun with this by decorating our office and bringing in a DJ to provide music. We give away door prizes, furnish a great dinner, and best of all, for members who have signed up for two years or more, they are entered in a drawing to win a Vegas vacation.

Many of our customers live in the same communities, but sometimes they might not get to see each other due to busy schedules. Our Appreciation Party gives everybody the chance to socialize with neighbors and friends, and to meet those in their area they might not meet otherwise. All of our staff is here and customers get to meet all of them and actually put a face with the name. So many times customers mention how much they enjoyed talking to some of our staff members on the phone, and this gives everybody a chance to really get to know who they are speaking with.

The highlight of our party is announcing the winner of the Vegas vacation and this past year was the first time we implemented the trip giveaway. Customers do have to be here to win and we try to encourage everyone to stay for the drawing. Last year we had about 10 sets of people who were eagerly awaiting our drawing and the couple who won was a nice couple from Mitchellville, Iowa. When it was announced they had won, they came up to accept and the husband, who was a retired farmer, leaned over to me and modestly claimed it was just too nice and he didn’t know if he should accept it. His wife spoke up and promptly stated that they would indeed accept it and they were going to Vegas!
