What’s Going on at Bakeris Roofing

We’re busy with lots of repairs in the middle of summer here at Bakeris Roofing. The phones have been going crazy lately because we had some pretty heavy rain. Our main repair person was out for the weekend due to a minor back injury, so this week he’s been doing look-at’s while he recovers. Jeff has been running around doing the repairs in the meantime.

As for roofs, we’re still probably doing a minimum of around three to four a week. The guys are also scheduled to give around three proposals every day. It’s been a busy time for us, but we like it that way.

The more we sell now, the further out in the year it takes us. Come October and November, people don’t think about calling to get bids as much. Of course, there are some people trying to get the work done before the onset of winter. At the most, I think there’s a two week lead time if you’re calling in to get a bid scheduled.

If you notice an old water spot on your ceiling, sometimes it’s no longer an active leak. If it’s a spot where you can see water dripping, you might want to stick a pen/pencil in to make a small hole before you give us a call. You can always fill it with spackle later. The hole will allow the water to come out of that one spot as a controlled leak instead of just soaking into the drywall and making even more damage.

If you do notice that something is wrong with your roof, it’s a good idea to call and get an opinion right away. Don’t wait until the last minute if you can help it.
