Training for the new year

Guess what we’ve been doing for the new year? That’s right, more training. We really train a lot during these three months. (We’ve been doing about 15 hours each week.) These are usually the coldest months of the year when things are a bit slower.
We usually train in the conference room and in our shop. We’ve also brought on some new people, which is always exciting. One of the reasons why we care so much about training is because it allows us to become more efficient. When we’re more efficient, that means savings for the homeowner. We care about providing the best investment for our clients.
Even professional sports players have to keep practicing even though they play all the time. It doesn’t matter if it’s football, basketball, or any other sport. The same applies to what we do. There’s always a way to improve. Technology might change and we always have to keep up to date with the manufacturers’ guidelines for the products we use so we’ll get the warranties for homeowners.
Everybody trains at Bakeris Roofing, from the people in the office to the guys who are out driving trucks and putting on roofs. We train as a group. Even our customer care representatives train to make sure they’re answering questions effectively, getting all the needed information, and giving a friendly voice to callers on the other side of the phone. It doesn’t matter who you are or who you think you are—you will train.
