No Roof Left Behind Update & Reminder
One year we donated a roof to the Iowa American Legion. We were happy to give back to the veterans who do so much for us. Since then, we decided to join No Roof Left Behind because it’s a great cause that aligns with our goal of giving back to people in need.
No Roof Left Behind originally began with a contractor out of Michigan. He started the program to help people in need of a new roof. They couldn’t afford it, maybe because of medical reasons or job reasons.
This year’s nominations are already underway. They started on May 1 and go through June 1. If you know someone in the Polk County, Iowa area who you think is deserving of a new roof, be sure to submit your nomination. All you need is one or two paragraphs about why you think they should be selected.
Everyone will review the submissions from June 2 through June 9. We’ll start voting for finalists from June 10 through June 30. Then we’ll narrow the submissions down to the final four by using a panel of past customers and staff. The public will take a vote online and the finalist with the highest percentage of votes will be declared winner. The winner will be announced on July 6.
If anybody wants to be a sponsor, please be sure to contact us! It doesn’t necessarily have to be anything dealing with construction. You could give a gift card, a plant from your greenhouse, or whatever you can contribute to help the cause. We have a chiropractor who does X-rays and adjustments, a realtor who gives monetary donations, a salon that gave haircuts, and a caterer who gave out food. If you decide to sponsor the program, your business will go up on our website’s sponsorship area.
We want to thank everyone who’s made No Roof Left Behind a great program to help those in need of a new roof.
