Customer Appreciation Party Recap

Our annual customer appreciation party went terrifically. We probably had the best turnout ever. The cool thing is, we noticed that mostly everyone stayed all the way through to the end of the party. It was a beautiful 70 degree sunny day. We opened up all the shop doors because it wasn’t windy.

Customers were really enjoying themselves. It’s a great social event so they’re able to meet new people from all different parts of Polk County. My wife cooked Cinco de Mayo themed food including enchiladas and tacos. She must’ve done something right, because all the food was gone by the end of the event.

We also had some great giveaways this year. We gave out a $1,000 travel voucher. People who signed up for multiple years in the Overhead Care Club were excited to participate. There were 28 people in total and we tried to make sure everyone would be here for a chance to win. When it came time to announce the winner, only about four or five couples were here. (Their odds were pretty good.)

All the team members from Bakeris Roofing had a great time. It’s fun to see everyone, especially some of the people we hadn’t seen in a while. We were able to honor all past, present, and future veterans. We gave them a sincere and heartfelt thanks. If they weren’t around, we probably wouldn’t be around either. It would be a totally different US, and a totally different world.

We’re absolutely looking forward to next year’s customer appreciation party, which takes place the first Thursday in May from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
