No Roof Left Behind Winner 2016

For the last four years (including this one) we’ve done the No Roof Left Behind program where we give a free roof to a family chosen by the community. This year we had 8 nominees. Members of the community who are part of the BNI networking group we belong to were the ones who narrowed it down to 4 candidates. Then those final 4 were posted on the website so the community could vote on who the winner would be.

This year the winner was Chris Poulson. He was a firefighter for 25 years with the Bondurant Fire Department. He was a deputy chief battling stage four cancer. Unfortunately, he passed away two weeks before the roof was put on.

Our whole team who put the roof on were there along with some members of the community. His wife was very excited about that. Our crew took a picture with her along with three or four other family friends..

The City of Bondurant had a big parade after Chris’ passing. People lined the streets and had a dedication for him. There were lots of people there including firefighters and police officers.

We look forward to taking part in No Roof Left Behind again next year.
