Bakeris Roofing’s Christmas Get-Together

At Bakeris Roofing, we generally celebrate the Christmas season by doing activities away from the shop. We’ve gone out to dinner at restaurants in the past, but for the last few years we’ve converted the front area of our shop into a nice dinner place. We have a catered meal there and then we participate in a white elephant gift exchange.
It has to be a true white elephant gift that you didn’t spend money on. You aren’t supposed to go out and buy the present. You’ll sometimes see people bring something from their home that’s been regifted. They were holding onto it for the whole year just so they could use it for the gift exchange.
Jeff has always been the man who appreciates everyone’s work. Our Christmas events give us the opportunity to recognize each employee’s accomplishments (and bring our spouses along, too). The event generally takes place after the holidays because everyone’s schedules are usually pretty packed before then. It’s great timing because more people are able to show up and have a good time. ~ Steve Gee
