Choose a Company That’s There For You

The most important day of a roof’s life is the day it’s installed. The products that you pick for your roofing system will inevitably fail. Even metal roofs will fail at some point in time. It might be 100 or 150 years from now, but everything wears out eventually. The company you choose to do your roof is most important. If they are going to stand behind everything, it makes all the difference.


Manufacturers provide warranties for their products, but unfortunately, you have to be the attorney who wrote them in order to even understand what they mean. (It often turns out, even the manufacturer’s reps can’t understand them!) A roofing company that stands behind their work will take care of the homeowner even after the product has been put on. If the manufacturer refuses to stand behind their product, Bakeris Roofing will still be there to take care of you. We’ve been doing it for 27 years now.


We’re dealing with a manufacturer right now, and if you knew the details you’d say, “You have to be kidding me!” We’ve had some claims going on where the manufacturer is jacking us around and jacking the customer around, but it doesn’t matter because we’ll replace it. They aren’t taking care of the homeowner, and they aren’t taking care of us (the contractor that’s using their product). The manufacturers aren’t always going to live up to everything they claim in their warranties, but we’ll deal with them so the homeowner doesn’t have to.


You have to pick a roofing company that will be there to take care of you if something goes wrong with the product. The manufacturers have many ways to get out of the promises they make. But if you find a trustworthy roofing company that does what they say they’ll do, they will be there to take care of you even when the manufacturer drops the ball. We even have the no blame guarantee, which says if you put a product on and it fails two years down the road, we’ll help you with the claim.


It could be an issue where the color fades or something doesn’t look right in the first few years. You’re our client, and so we want to take the burden of making the claim away from you. You really shouldn’t have to do anything besides sign a few papers. But if the manufacturer isn’t taking care of their product (meaning it has a problem and they won’t replace it), we’ll step in and fix the problem even if it means we have to replace the entire roof. We’ll take you totally out of the claim process and go after them to get paid.
