Staying Presentable and Tidy at Bakeris Roofing

Posted on March 2, 2018 at 3:21 PM by Dawn Gee

We’re always trying to be as professional as possible, and at a company meeting we had recently we talked about dressing together as a team. Because of the nature of what we do, it’s inevitable that we’re going to get dirty. But we don’t have to have a ripped up shirt (we don’t do cut-off sleeves). If we look presentable and tidy, it makes a huge difference.

We also make sure that every Bakeris Roofing vehicle is clean and tidy. The dash, inside of the cab, and toolboxes are all organized so the vehicle will be uncluttered and the homeowner will have a good impression. If we can be organized and neat in our attire and vehicle, then it will make it easier for people to have confidence that we’ll be the same way up on the roof. We’ll be able to stay careful around shrubs and protect the homeowner’s belongings.

We look at all the little details that some people would never even think about. It’s part of our focus on training and making sure that we care about the homeowner. When we’re at someone’s house, the neighbors will naturally see us as they walk down the street or go out for lunch. We want to make sure that we act the way that the homeowner would expect. Instead of just laying out on the yard, sprawled out for a nap, we’ll be sure to be respectful and leave that for our vehicle instead.

We do allow our team members to wear shorts in the summer. They are nice khakis or one-color shorts, but nothing with camouflage. We’re also going back to official Bakeris Roofing branded hats to keep everyone looking presentable. The goal is to make a great, lasting impression because we take pride in what we do.
