Des Moines roofing companies to compare, without rankings
Bakeris Roofing wrote this page, and we compete for roofing work in the Des Moines metro. An earlier version ranked roofing companies and put Bakeris first. We've withdrawn that ranking. This corrected version lists seven other companies alphabetically and describes Bakeris separately as the publisher. It isn't an independent review or a list of winners.
What changed on this page
The earlier comparison was removed in September 2026. We've restored this URL with a corrected comparison so readers following an old link can see the correction here. Published as a replacement on October 9, 2026, this version supersedes the earlier rankings and company ratings.
Use the company links below to check services and make a shortlist. For insurance, registration, scope and warranty questions, use our separate guide to choosing a roofer in the Des Moines metro. That guide is about evaluating a contractor; this page helps you find companies to contact.
Companies to compare, in alphabetical order
These are selected companies serving the metro, not every roofer available. We checked the linked company websites on October 9, 2026. The summaries describe services those businesses advertise. We haven't inspected their work or independently audited their qualifications. Confirm that the company handles your roof type and address before arranging a visit.
Andrew's Roofing Company
Andrew's Roofing Company lists roof replacement, roof repair, gutters, siding, windows and ventilation among its Des Moines-area services. Its roofing information also includes rubber and flat roofing. If several exterior components need work, ask for a separate scope and price for each so you can compare a roofing-only bid with a broader project.
Delgado's Roofing
Delgado's Roofing advertises roofing and gutter services in the Des Moines area, including repairs and replacements. Its website says service is available in English and Spanish. If you'd prefer to discuss the estimate in Spanish, confirm who will handle the estimate and questions during the job. Ask for the proposed repair or replacement scope in writing.
Heartland: roofing, siding and solar
Heartland Roofing, Siding & Solar lists residential and commercial roofing, siding, windows, gutters, solar and insulation. For a project involving solar equipment, ask who handles removal and reinstallation, which work is included in the roofing estimate, and how the schedule is coordinated. Get each contractor's responsibilities in writing before work starts.
Recon: residential and commercial work
Recon Roofing & Construction lists residential roofing, commercial roofing, storm damage work, siding, skylights, gutters and windows. It also advertises remodeling and decks. For a project with several trades, ask which work the roofing crew handles, who supervises the other work, and whether you'll receive one contract or separate agreements.
Right Roofing & Siding
Right Roofing & Siding lists an Urbandale location and advertises residential and commercial roofing, siding, windows and gutters. Its commercial services include TPO, PVC, EPDM and metal systems. If you're comparing a low-slope roof proposal with a shingle-roof proposal, ask for the system and warranty specific to each roof section.
Superstorm: roofing and siding
Superstorm Roofing & Siding advertises roof replacement, repairs, commercial roofing, storm damage work, siding and gutters. Its site also describes drone inspections. Ask what inspection photos and measurements you'll receive and how those findings support the proposed work. An inspection report and a construction estimate serve different purposes; request both when you need both.
Walter Roofing
Walter Roofing's residential website lists roofing, storm damage and siding services, with a Des Moines-area office in Clive. It links to a separate commercial roofing site. Tell the company whether you're asking about a house or a commercial building, then confirm who prepares the scope and oversees that type of project.
About Bakeris, the publisher
We're Bakeris Roofing, with locations in Runnells and Des Moines. Our work includes roof repairs, roof replacement and storm damage inspections and repairs. You can check our locations, team and customer reviews before deciding whether to call us.
Apply the same questions to us that you'd ask any company here: what did the inspection find, what work is included, who will do it, and what do the written warranties cover? If you'd like a Bakeris estimate, contact our team. You can also send corrections to a company description through that page, with a link to the source we should check.
Before you request estimates
Choose two or three companies that offer the work you need. Send each the same description of the problem and ask for written estimates covering the same roof areas, materials, decking terms, flashing and cleanup. Our estimate comparison checklist helps you compare the details without relying on a single total.
Check the company's current registration through Iowa DIAL's contractor registration page, and ask its insurance agent for current evidence of coverage. Look up manufacturer credentials in the manufacturer's directory if a particular warranty matters to your decision. A company website can describe its services, but it doesn't replace those checks.
We haven't copied Google star ratings, review counts or BBB grades into this comparison. Those figures change, and branches can have different profiles. Read recent reviews for the location you're considering and look at the company's responses. We don't use a star average to infer workmanship, pricing or how a crew cleans up.
How we maintain this comparison
The links in each profile are the sources for its service summary. Inclusion isn't an endorsement, and omission isn't a judgment about another company. We haven't assigned scores or compared prices. Ask each business about current availability, service boundaries, qualifications and written terms. We'll review reported factual errors against the supplied source and update this page when the description changes.
Questions about this comparison
Does Bakeris rank itself first in this comparison?
No. We've withdrawn the earlier ranking that put Bakeris first. Other companies appear alphabetically, and Bakeris is identified separately as the publisher. This is a company-published comparison, not an independent review.
How were the company descriptions checked?
We checked the linked company websites on October 9, 2026 and summarized their advertised services. We haven't independently audited their work or qualifications. Confirm registration, insurance, service availability and any manufacturer credentials before hiring.
Where can I find questions to ask a roofer?
Our separate guide to choosing a roofer in the Des Moines metro covers contractor checks, scope and warranty questions. Ask each company for an estimate based on the same roof areas and work before comparing totals.
